BBFC 7-0 Herstmonceux
“Thumping win…but it the first clean sheet that is so good….especially as we lost our GK & went down to 10 men”
A great all round 14-man team performance. Harry Loates & Trystan Mayhew helped bring out the very best in EVERYONE of us, which just shows how good a team we can be. The challenge for us is maintaining that confidence & consistency.  However, we had a dodgy first 5 minutes when we needed to sort out defensive responsibilities against Herstmonceux’ s 3 man attack. We could have been 2 nil down but some poor finishing let us off the hook. But from then on we dominated the game & played some sublime box to box football. We made them change formation several times, & our midfield 3 of Jamie CrouchAdam Robinson & Trystan won their battles regardless of how many players Herstmonceux put against them. The communication & support for each other was tremendous – the best we’ve been this season. The hard work off the ball, including recovery runs, made a massive impact too.We did have to be patient between the 17th & 61st minutes when the score remained 2-0 & we failed to covert a number of chances. But our focus ensured we didn’t let Herstmonceux back in the game & 5 goals in 27 mins saw off any hint of a comeback. Here’s the match facts summarising some fantastic finishes & wonderful assists:
8 mins – Harry Loates first goal assisted by Trystan Mayhew
17 mins – Trystan Mayhew assisted by Aaron Davies
61 mins – Own goal assisted by Lee Costen

66 mins – Aaron Davies assisted by Liam Chantler
